Light Extending Table

€16,845.00

Designed by Matthew Hilton for De La Espada.

The light Extending Table is one of Matthew Hilton’s most iconic designs. Reflecting his interest in the concept of ‘impossible lightness,’ where he tries to create the feeling of greater spaciousness in a room by reducing the visual weight of his furniture. Surprisingly slender, this table features a chamfered edge and a cantilevered leg with complex joinery. The engineering and incredible craftsmanship displayed in this stylish dining table is second to none.

This innovative dining table extends with ease and elegance, offering three possible lengths. When fully extended, this table can seat 10 to 12 people.

The tabletop is made from engineered solid wood, a clever use of premium walnut providing greater stability in this demanding application. Set upon sculptural legs, the tabletop opens effortlessly and holds the two leaves within a fabric-lined compartment when not in use.

Shown here is the danish oiled walnut.

Also available to order as a fixed table, rectangular or oval in many different woods and finishes.
