With a design that seems totally random and spontaneous, the Japan rug is manually knotted with 100% virgin wool in an attractive coral colour. This manufacturing technique creates precisely that sensation of casual and fortuitous design the rug transmits, almost in the same way nature springs, in wild and heterogeneous ways. For its textured surface one may find multiple analogies: from a rain of petals to fields of cherry blossoms, or a colony of marine corals.
Japan, made in an attractive coral tone, shows subtle colour variations because it is made with tie-dyed threads, a method in which textiles are tied while being coloured, applied in this case to individual wool threads.
